Why Attend?
Neuroendocrine tumor (NET) disease is both rare and complex. About 15,000 new patients are diagnosed each year in the U.S. – which means many medical professionals will encounter neuroendocrine tumors only a few times in their careers.
The North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS) is a society of over 400 multidisciplinary medical professionals committed to the support of colleagues in diagnosing and treating NET patients, as well as furthering the cause of NET science and education in North America. With new research, technologies and practices emerging, the landscape of NET treatment is rapidly changing.
NANETS will offer a special recording-only registration for all who were unable to attend the 2021 Virtual Symposium. Watch for complete details on how to register, coming soon.
Here's How to Access the Virtual Symposium:
HOW TO LOG IN You can enter the Virtual Regional Conference beginning Tuesday, November 2, 10:00am EDT. Visit https://nanetsvirtual2021.vfairs.com/ Sign in with the email address you used to register for the conference.
You are only allowed to login with one device at a time. If you leave the conference – please log back in the same way. NANETS will announce how to access Conference content after the live program. If you are not yet a NANETS member, JOIN TODAY at nanets.net Please note, you must be registered for the Virtual Symposium for access.
Covid Statement:
The recent surge in COVID-19 infections across the U.S. from the delta variant and the transmission of COVID-19 to children has made it challenging for large numbers of medical professionals to convene safely in person and continue to protect themselves, their patients, families, and communities. Based on the ever-changing COVID-19 trajectory, and the feedback of our membership, presenting faculty and staff, NANETS has decided pivot to a fully virtual event for the 2021 NANETS' Annual Multidisciplinary NET Symposium previously scheduled for an in-person event in Chicago, IL.
While we are all disappointed in having to pivot again this year to a Virtual event we are hopeful that we will be able to successfully transition as we did in 2020 where we had over 500 participants and so much positive feedback following the event. NANETS truly appreciates your understanding and is excited to have you take part in this educational
virtual program.
Currently registered attendees will automatically be registered for the virtual symposium. All registration rates will remain the same. NANETS is cancelling the late registration fee option. The standard fee will apply going forward, with no late registration penalty. Registration will remain open until the live symposium date.
Symposium Research Grants
Each year, NANETS provides research grants to young investigators doing preeminent work in the field of NET research. The grants available through NANETS were established to both support new research initiatives and welcome young and eager scientific minds to the NET community. Currently, NANETS has three grants available: the Basic/Translational Science Investigator (BTSI) the NANETS Clinical Investigator Scholarship (NCIS) and the NANETS Theranostics Investigator Grant (NTIG). These annual grants support innovative research initiatives and encourage young researchers and scientific clinicians to become NET specialists.
The application deadline for 2018 research grant submissions is Wednesday, June 13, 2018.
Basic/Translational Science Investigator (BTSI)
The BTSI grant is available to individuals who are within the first five years of their faculty appointment and are predominantly focused on lab-based, basic/translational research. Click here for more information and to submit an application.
NANETS Clinical Investigator Scholarship (NCIS)
The NCIS grant emphasizes both the professional development of the scientific clinician (whose time is primarily dedicated to patient care) and the potential of the project to directly impact NET patients. Click here for more information and to submit an application.
NANETS Theragnostics Investigator Grant (NTIG)
The NTIG is awarded to an applicant who is focused on research with the potential to advance and expand the use of theragnostics in the treatment of NET patients. This award may be granted to researchers performing basic, translational or clinical research in theragnostics as it relates to NETs. Click here for more information and to submit and application.
