The North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS) is a not-for-profit 501(C)3 corporation dedicated to the research and education of neuroendocrine tumor (NET) disease, a rare form of cancer.

Over 15,000 people are diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor each year. This rare cancer takes many forms in how it impacts the neuroendocrine system.  The most common NETs are:

  • Gastrointestinal NETs
  • Pancreatic NETs (PNETs)
  • Lung NETs

Donations to NANETS are used in the following ways:

  • Funding cutting-edge research
  • Aiding in the treatment and care of NET patients through education for medical professionals in regard to NET disease diagnosis, treatment and management. Simply put, the more medical professionals who know and understand NET disease, the better the treatment
  • Young Investigator awards and other young medical professional programs that foster medical education of doctors entering the field of oncology, surgery, gastroenterology and other multidisciplinary fields
  • The development of consensus guidelines that are used around the world as a resource for medical professionals treating NET patients
  • Travel grants offered to support medical professionals who would not otherwise be able to participate in our educational programs

NANETS’ education, research and guidelines are led by leading NET medical professionals in North America and around the world. Programs, research and guidelines are peer-reviewed and held to the highest medical standards.
