NANETS members were among the recipients of grants from the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) to advance NETS research. The $4 million in grants – NETRF’s large commitment ever – were announced in late April.
Among Accelerator Award recipients are NANETS members Eric Nakakura, MD, PhD, University of California, San Francisco, and Chrissie Thirlwell, BSc, MD, PhD, University College London Cancer Institute, whose project team is focusing on finding the cause of small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SI-NETS).
NANETS members Nitya Raj, M.D and Diane L. Reidy-Lagunes, MD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, is on the Pilot Project Grant award team that is concentrating on mutational landscape of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors using “liquid biopsy.”
