An engaged and accountable leadership team with a clear vision for NANETS is critical for the success, growth, and long-term health of our organization.

Over the next few months, the NANETS board, advisory board, and nominating committee will be elected by the NANETS professional membership.

The Nominating Committee is tasked with nominating a slate of candidates for general election. Nominations will be accepted for the following (see description below):

  • NANETS Board
  • NANETS Advisory Board
  • NANETS Nominating Committee

Our goal is to nominate an effective leadership team with vision and continuity in a transparent process.

The nominating committee seeks your input. In order to submit a nomination you must be a professional member in good standing and logged into our website. If your membership is not current you will be asked to renew before you can make a nomination. You may make multiple nominations.

Nominations will be accepted until July 24, 2015, 11:59 PM PDT. 

NANETS Board of Directors

The affairs of the corporation shall be managed by the Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for overall policy and direction of the corporation and delegates responsibility for day to day operations to the Executive Director and Executive Committee officers.

NANETS Advisory Board

The Board of Directors and corporate officers shall be professionally advised and supported by the Advisory Board. The Advisory Board shall be elected by the members at the annual General Assembly meeting and will include representatives of similar organizations with interest in the execution of the corporation’s objectives. The number of the Advisory Board members may vary between a minimum of three and a maximum of five representatives. Each Advisory Board member will serve for a period of two years. Members of the Board of Directors cannot serve simultaneously on the Advisory Board. Members of the Advisory Board shall elect a Speaker of the Advisory Board from among the members. Advisory Board members may participate in Board of Director meetings but shall have no voting power.

NANETS Nominating Committee

The Chair Emeritus will chair the Nominating Committee. This committee will be comprised of five members inclusive of the Chair Emeritus. At least two of the members will be elected from the active professional membership and cannot serve simultaneously on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee or Advisory Board. The term of office for the Nominating Committee members will be two years. This committee is responsible to nominate individuals for election to the Board of Directors and Advisory Board. The number of individuals nominated for election shall be greater than the number of open positions to be filled.
