NANETS member Po Hien Ear, PhD, Research Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine, was the recipient of NANETS' 2019 Basic/Translational Science Investigator (BTSI) award.

"The NANETS BTSI award has given me the opportunity to secure a faculty position at the University of Iowa. It really made a huge difference in my academic career," Dr. Ear remarked. "My research has been extremely fruitful because of the funding provided by this award."
As she continues to prepare her manuscripts, she expects that her papers will be published within the next year. Dr. Ear previously authored the Establishment and Characterization of Small Bowel Neuroendocrine Tumor Spheroids.

"I am extremely proud and honored to be a NANETS member. I have never had the opportunity to be part of such a supportive and collaborative society. I really appreciate the initiatives of NANETS' administrative and executive committees for organizing the Women in NETs and Research Grants webinars."
